One of the questions that comes up most often is: how long will it take to create my website ? The answer our clients often get is: well, it depends…
Most of the time, we will need more details about the project in order to estimate the time required. However, there are a few things to keep in mind as you plan your project, from the first steps to getting your site live. We summarize them in this publication.
The duration of web design projects can vary greatly. We know that no two projects are the same, which is why we treat each of them with a tailor-made approach and a detailed plan.
There are a few factors that will determine how long your website project will take. Fewer pages and minimal functionality will always take us less time to develop than a more ambitious site with heavier animations or complex integrations. Thus, depending on the urgency of the project, a marketing website will take us around 2 weeks, while a more complex site will take between 1 and 2 months.
Here are the parameters to take into account to estimate the duration of the project:
How big should your website be and how many custom pages do we need to design ? Is the site plan already defined ? Are the pages already written ?
Are there any specific technical requirements (eg should your website be multilingual, do you want a booking module on your website, an e-commerce module, etc.) ?
Do you already have a visual identity (colors, typography, logo, type of design of your brand, etc.) ?
Is the content already decided ? Have you already defined your content strategy and the message you want to convey through your website ? While we can help you with the site map and content, you know your business and your customers better than we do and we rely on you to provide the guideline for us to make your website a 100% match for you.
